Victor Manuel Suazo, 95, of Providence, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Francisca Lopez.
Born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Antonio Suazo and Ramona Martinez.
Victor’s love for his family, especially his two children, gave him strength in his later years. In 1988 he came to the United States and settled in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Providence. He worked as a stock clerk in the supermarket prior to his retirement. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and loved playing a competitive game of dominoes.
He leaves a son, Victor R. Suazo; a daughter, Iris M. Suazo and her partner Debra M. Isabel, with whom he reside; a brother, Rafael Suazo; a sister, Gloria Suazo; two granddaughters, and nine great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Antonio, Roberto, Blanca, Consuelo, Altita, Impre and Carmen Suazo.
Victor’s visitation will begin on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 8:30 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 am.
