Richard D. Sparfven Jr., 68, of Warwick, sadly passed away on Wednesday December 15, 2021 in Kent Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard Donald and Merle Elizabeth ( Foss ) Sparfven, Sr.
Mr. Sparfven was a committed father and was adored by his children. Richard fought and was granted custody of his children in the 90’s, which was a very difficult task in those days and remained a constant source of love and affection to them until his death.
He was a very talented musician playing in many bands in Florida, Tennessee and Rhode Island. Some of his more notable bands where Playing Mantis, Farnum Mayweather, Full House and Loose Change.
Mr. Sparfven is survived by his children, Ryan R. Sparfven from Johnston, Brittany M. Mulcahey and her husband Joseph of Johnston, his brothers, Kurt Sparfven of Warwick, Eric Sparfven and his wife Sharon of Smithfield and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Velma Sparfven, Ronald Sparfven and Maureen Sparfven.
