Lt. Col. John R. Marzano, 83, of Lincoln, RI passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Anne D. ( Stafford ) Marzano.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late Norman O and Alice ( Cappuccilli ) Marzano.
John attended and graduated from Bordentown Military Academy in Bordentown, NJ. He also attended and graduated from Norwich University in Northfield, VT in 1960 and was commissioned as a Captain in the Army Corps of Engineers.
John served as Highway Superintendent for the City of Pawtucket during the Blizzard of 1978 and had also worked in Cumberland as Director of Public Works.
He served 26 years in the Military and retired as Lieutenant Colonel.
In addition to his beloved wife he leaves his son John P. Marzano, granddaughter Rachael Marzano and great grandson Jonathan Sarakis.
Mr. Marzano was brother of the late Norman P. Marzano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 9:00 am in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
