Obituary

Katie Patricia Foster passed on July 11, 2021 after an illness. She leaves behind her daughter, Madison De Santo; husband Russell Pauser, her beloved dogs Lily and Stanley, parents Paul & Lorrie Foster, step mom Pat Elliott, sister Jenny and her children Reilly, Caspian, and Sage, her step brother and law John Collins, her step sister Annie Collins, their daughters Lucy and Olivia, and extended family & friends.

Katie was born on February 1, 1982 in Pawtucket. An avid reader, she also enjoyed athletics including field hockey and swimming. She was an accomplished equestrian, and studied Special Education at Lesley University.

In addition to her parents and Jennie, Katie grew up on the family farm in Lincoln with her beloved brother Nathan who passed in 2009 and who she missed very much. She also leaves her uncle Richard Foster and her Aunt Dani, cousins Meeghan and Jessie, her uncle Ted Foster and Aunt Jan of NC, and cousins Colby & Velma DiCari of TN, and Cameron of VT.

Katie was an avid gardener, and loved working with animals and children. She was fun and fierce, and was extremely loyal and protective of her many friends. She advocated for both friends and total strangers if she perceived a need. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Katie's funeral service will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Chapel Street Congregational Church 185 Chapel St, Lincoln, RI 02865 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to which relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Providence Animal Rescue League 34 Elbow St, Providence, RI 02903 in Katie's memory would be appreciated.
