June E. ( Richards ) Genannt, 85, passed away peacefully at the Catholic Memorial Home, Fall River, MA on Thursday, March 25, 2021.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary A. ( Maillet ) Richards.
June was a 1953 graduate of St. Patrick’s High School, in Providence, RI and would go on to be a pre-school teacher in Warwick. In June’s younger years, she was a true daredevil who enjoyed rollercoasters, waterskiing and boating to satisfy her daring side.
June was also a professional bowler, an artist, and avid golfer who enjoyed hitting the links with her girlfriends.
Mrs. Genannt had resided in Warwick raising her family and would later reside in Seneca Falls, NY, Attleboro, MA retiring between New Port Richey, FL and Dartmouth, MA.
June had served as President of the Mill Pond Estates Homeowners Association in New Port Richey, FL for many years.
June is survived by her children, April G. Tuttle and her husband Douglas of Hannibal, NY, John T. Genannt and his wife Dolly of North Dartmouth, MA, Daniel P. Genannt and his wife Christine of Attleboro, MA, James A. Genannt and his wife Karen of Pawtucket, RI. Her grandchildren, Kelly Stadtmiller and her husband Daniel of Baldwinsville, NY, Allison Perry and her husband Griffin of Fayetteville, NY, Jamie Genannt of North Dartmouth, MA, Ashley Genannt of Stoughton, MA, Austin Genannt of Newton, MA, Hayden Genannt of Pawtucket and Brandon Brown and his wife Stephanie of South Bend, IN. She also is survived by 8 great grandchildren, her twin sister Joan Baglini and her husband Edward of North Providence, RI and her sister Lorraine Fogarty of FL.
June was the sister of the late Doris Archambault.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Rose and Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
A walk through wake will be held the morning of the Funeral Mass in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick from 8:30-9:30 am.
