Obituary

Jeanie Ann Ball, 73, passed away peacefully at Respiratory & Rehabilitation of R I, Coventry on Wednesday February 12, 2020.

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Bridget P. ( O’ Grady ) Ball.

Jeanie had a long and rewarding career as a Registered Nurse. She attended the Roger Williams Hospital Nursing Program and graduated with her Bachelor’s from the University of Rhode Island. She received Master’s Degree’s from Boston College and Anna Maria College, Boston, MA.

Jeanie worked for many area hospital’s incuding St. Margaret’s Center and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center both in Boston, MA as well as Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, CT. She was also an active volunteer with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Jeanie is survived by her siblings, Albert J. Ball and his wife Sandra of Foster, Michael E. Ball and his wife Regina of Congress, NY, Delia N. Clarkin of Narragansett, her nieces and nephews, Christine P. Gibau, Eileen P Belleville, Albert M. Ball, Michael E. Ball, Jr., Christopher A. Ball, Patrick T. Ball, Daniel A. Clarkin, Brian M. Clarkin, Jeanie A. Clarkin, Margaret Mary Pilkington, Catherine Pilkington, her life long friend Margaret Mary Pilkington,14 great nieces and nephews. She was godmother of the late Paul Pilkington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday February 18, 2020 at 11:00 am in SS. John & Paul Catholic Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Rt 3, West Greenwich.
