Frederick C. “Bruiser” Snell, 79, of Providence, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Michele Speaks.
Born in Beaumont, TX, Fred was the son of the late Elsie Bennett and Vertie May (Owens) Snell.
Fred proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon his return from the service Fred was employed as a Wire Worker for Carol Cable in Warren, Rhode Island, prior to his retirement.
Besides his wife of 29 years, Fred is survived by a daughter, Chelcie Speaks, his sons, Jeramiah Speaks, Mark, Curt, Carlos Black, and a brother Elbert Snell
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 1st, from 3 – 6 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be private.
