Edward F. Higham, Sr., died Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy E. (Giordese) Higham, they were married for 55 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Earl J. and Mary E. (McNamee) Higham.
Edward served our nation honorably in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. After serving our nation he worked at the Paramount Restaurant Supply Corporation for over 30 years before his retirement. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
In addition to his wife Dorothy, he leaves two sons, David Higham and his wife Janice, Richard Higham and his wife Dianne, four step children, Thomas C. Mallard and his wife Lynn, David A. Mallard and his wife Sharon, Cheryl A. Mallard and Carole L. Mallard, a brother, John Higham, a sister, Mary Parkhouse, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great great grandaughter Madeline, father of the late Edward F. Higham, brother of the late Earl Higham, Marie O’Neil, Helen Houle, Esther Wood, Evelyn DiBenedetto, and Dorothy Riley.
The funeral and visitation will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rte. 117) Warwick. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private. For online condolences, please visit boyleandsonfuneralhome.com
