David J. Farias

November 27, 1958 ~ March 7, 2021 (age 62)


David J. Farias Sr. 62 of Providence died after a short illness at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital North Providence on March 7, 2021. He was born in Providence on November 27, 1958. He was the son of the late James G. Farias and Delores (Bache) Farias. 


David graduated from A.L.P. High School in 1976. He was a former Electronics engineer and product manager at Brad Pts. Cable of Queens, NY. He was known by many friends as “Cowboy” from all his years on the C.B. Radio. He was a loyal New England Patriots Fan; also a stock market enthusiast. He enjoyed singing Karaoke and letting everyone know his favorite dining, and entertainment experience through his Facebook page David’s Out and About. David was a proud member of the Di Fesa Society of Johnston. He loved life and gathering with his many friends and family always being the life of the party.


David is survived by his beloved son David J. Farias Jr .and his daughter in law Kristina Macera, his loving companion Tammy A. Dailey, Stepdaughters Ramona Capo and Kimberly Boisseau. His beloved sisters Lisa Pinto, Pamela Grinnell, Delores Grey, sister in law April Bagwell, He was the brother of the late brother Kurt Farias. He was the beloved grandfather of Lillyana and Leeland Farias. He leaves his many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. His faithful fur companions Greyson and Charlie. 


A celebration of his life will be at Copperfield’s II 678 Killingly St. Johnston, RI on Sunday March 14, 2021 from 2-4 pm. All are welcome.


Calling hours are at Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St. Providence, RI on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 5 – 7 pm. Burial will be private.
