Alfred “Freddy” L. Mastrobuono, 86, passed away on September 7, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Rampone) Mastrobuono.
Born in Cranston, Freddy was the son of the late Fred and Carrie (Imondi) Mastrobuono.
A graduate of Johnson and Wales University, Freddy served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He, along with his wife, owned and operated Master Fruitland on Oakland Ave. in Cranston. Subsequently, Freddy became the Produce Manager at Ruggieri’s Market in Cranston, where he was a fixture for many years prior to his retirement.
Besides his wife of 62 years, Freddy is survived by two sons, David and Michael Mastrobuono, a daughter Lisa Hersey (Sean), four grandchildren, Sean Hersey MD, Jennifer Tranghese (James), Mia Pfefferle (Kyle), Kayla Hersey, and a great granddaughter, Collins Pfefferle. Freddy was the brother of the late William Mastrobuono, Evelyn Gaudet, and Gloria Perrino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 15 at 11 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial will be private.
