A. Marilyn (Bamber) Ormond, 84, of North Providence, died peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family on December 24th, 2020. She was predeceased by her husband Robert E. Ormond, Sr. in 2018. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jessie (Neil) Bamber.
Marilyn worked at Randall Surgical Group, Inc. as a medical secretary for 20 years. She was an avid bowler in various leagues and loved her winters in Florida with her family and friends. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Robert, Jr. and his wife Helen, Michael and his wife Diane, a daughter, Catherine (Ormond) Lachapelle and her husband Roland, her grandchildren, Kelly, Sherri, Jillian, Michael, Caitlin, Michael and her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Joseph, Jessica and Keara. She is the sister of William Bamber, Joan (Bamber) Williams, Donna (Bamber) Ruggieri and the late Edward Bamber and Richard Bamber.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 29, at 9:00 am, in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Due to COVID restrictions, burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to: Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Boulevard, East Providence, RI 02914.
