It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Earl Chouinard announces his passing on September 3rd, 2018, at the age of 82. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will always be remembered for his humor. He loved the Boston Red Sox almost as much as he loved to read. Though he never got in a plane, he enjoyed many family adventures throughout America. A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, he worked in Benny’s shipping and receiving department for many years.
Richard was born to the late Aloria E. Chouinard of Lake Magog, Canada, and Edith (Creighton) Chouinard of Mason, New Hampshire. Richard is survived by his cherished wife Margaret J. (Blais) Chouinard of North Providence, daughter Patricia A. Verrill of Brooklyn, Connecticut, daughter Kara M. Chouinard of North Providence, and granddaughter Elizabeth A.M. Verrill of Worcester, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews including Patricia O’Donnell, good friend Edward O’Donnell, and cats Chloe and Goldie. Richard is predeceased by his son Michael A. Chouinard, granddaughter Tara Cardona Verrill, and siblings Marjorie Rudowski, Dorothy Paul, and Arthur Chouinard.
Richard’s family would like to invite his friends and loved ones to attend a celebration of his life on September 15th from 2 – 5pm at the Greystone Social Club where he was a lifetime member, 3 Greystone Avenue, North Providence, RI.
