Loretha Singleton, of Doyle Ave. died peacefully on Monday, at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Mobile, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rosa (Kidd) Singleton.
Loretha graduated from the Rhode Island College School of Nursing. She then worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the V.A. Hospital in Providence for many years, as well as various hospitals in the Greater Providence Area. She was a loving and devoted person to all that came in contact with her.
She leaves four brothers, Winston A. Singleton, Sr., Frank Singleton, Roberto Singleton, and Gerald Singleton, a sister Edwina Mixon, a son, Daryl Singleton, numerous nieces and nephews including Winston A. Singleton, Jr., whom she raised. She was pre deceased by her sister, Barbara Singleton.
Loretha’s visitation and funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. A funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground in Providence.
