Estelle T. (Lavallee) Patrone

March 30, 1932 ~ December 12, 2018 (age 86)

 Estelle T. (Lavallee) Patrone, 86, of Providence passed away on Wednesday December 12, surrounded by her loved ones after a two year battle with Alzheimer’s.  She was the loving wife of the late Eugene Patrone, PFD, Chief, Division of Training.


  Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Wilfrid and Bertha (Giguere) Lavallee.


 She was predeceased by her six sisters, Constance Picard, Muriel Bibeault, Helen Conte, Lucille Haddad, Bernadette Cournoyer and Jeanine Belisle, and her five brothers Bill, Maurice, Jean, Bernard, and Gerald Lavallee. 


A true woman of family, Estelle leaves her three daughters, Linda Benson and her husband Charlie of Warwick, Cynthia McGrath and her husband J. David of North Providence, and Debra Garlock and her husband Dana of Warwick. 

She was the beloved Memere to seven grandchildren, James Garcia and his wife Lyndsey, Kristin Pendergast and her husband Michael, Joshua Garcia and his wife Kristen, Marisa Mickey and her husband Jacob, Emily Shwaery and her husband Nathan, Laura Wild and her husband Cody and Rebecca McGrath.


She was also the beloved Gran Memere to seven great grandchildren, Natalie and Joshua Garcia, Cecelia, Maximus and Landen Garcia, and Katherine and Colette Pendergast. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Estelle loved nothing more than spending time with her family, watching QVC, shopping, and taking her family to the Greenwood Inn every Saturday night. She touched so many lives and will be missed immensely. 


The family wishes to thank Briarcliffe Gardens for the kindness, compassion and care given to Estelle over the past two years.


Estelle’s funeral will begin on Thursday, December 20, at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Saint Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Wednesday, December 19, from 5 - 8 pm. 

 

 In lieu of flowers, donations in Estelle’s memory may be made to the Briarcliffe Gardens Activity Fund, 49 Old Pocasset Road, Johnston, RI 02919 Attention: Stefany Reed or Saint Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02889.
