Edwin R. “ Ted “ Terry, 81, passed away peacefully May 6, 2019 in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the loving husband of Angela ( Mazzei ) Terry, they were married for 31 years.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late John and Evelyn M. (Tiernan) Terry.
Ted served our nation honorable during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army. He was a graduate of Johnson and Whales University. He then went on to work as a traffic manager for C-Line Trucking Company in Cranston. He was the owner of Independent Mail for 18 years and also worked security at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence.
Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Brian Terry of Cranston and Edwin Terry, Jr. of South Kingstown, a daughter, Erin Marcella of South Kingstown, a brother Gerald Terry, a sister, Frances Allen, 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was the stepfather of Geraldine Loffredo of North Scituate, Debra Hoard of West Warwick, Anthony Thompson of Smithfield, Robert Thompson of Fort Myers, FL, Donna Clukey of Smithfield and Lynn Gudeczauskas of Saunderstown. He was father of the late Michael Terry and brother of the late John Terry.
His funeral will begin on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 9:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117), Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Rt 2, Exeter.
