George P. St. Laurent, Sr.

Cranston: George P. St. Laurent, Sr., 70, of Dean Ridge Drive, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Lindsey D. (Gerlach) St. Laurent.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George N. and Ann Marie (D'Ambra) St. Laurent.

George was an electrical contractor for 45 years. He graduated from Central High School in 1960. He was a member of the Aurora Civic Association in Providence and the A.C. Club in Cranston. He was a former member of Warwick Country Club.

A devoted and loving family man, his happiest times were those spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandson. George brought an unwavering energy to everything he did; he had an unparalleled zest for life, and an unending loyalty for those who became part of his life. He enjoyed a friendly game of golf, beating his buddies at cards, and traveling and exploring new places with family and friends. His children and granchildren will always remember him as their loving father and papa, their strongest supporter and their constant role model.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Toni-Ann Laprade of Holland, MA, Diane M. St. Laurent of North Kingstown, George P. St. Laurent, Jr. of Cranston, and Taralyn Gouveia of Cranston; a sister, Carmella Dailey of Warren, two brothers, Vincent St. Laurent of North Providence and Patrick St. Laurent of Lincoln; 7 grandchildren and a great grandson.

His funeral will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave, Cranston. Burial will in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours wil be Sunday, 4-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Fogarty Center, 220 Woonasquatucket Ave, North Providence RI 02911 in his memory would be appreciated.
