Katherine P. “Pat”, Cunningham, 82, of Cranston and Narragansett, died peacefully Tuesday morning, June 12, 2012, at the Scalabrini Villa, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Cunningham, (Retired Captain, Providence Police Department).

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary K. (Casey) Carroll, she lived in Cranston most of her life and was also a summer resident of Point Judith for the past fifty-five years.

Mrs. Cunningham was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston, and a summer communicant of Saint Mary, Star of the Sea Church, Narragansett.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Pat cherished her family and friends, and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She leaves two daughters, Patricia F. Rossi and her husband Richard, and Carroll A. Aubin and her husband Gerald; a brother, Joseph F. Carroll and his wife Patricia; four loving granddaughters, Lauryn Dandorph and her husband Keith, Jodi Brock and her husband Timothy, Kristen Contarino and her husband Joseph, and Kylie Aubin; and five loving great-grandchildren, Zach, Skyla, Lily, Ryan and Lucas. She was a sister of the late Anna “Nancy” Canning.

The funeral will be held Friday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday, 4 – 8 pm.
